Page 31 comin' at ya! I think that my skill and understanding of how to properly do a comic is gradually increasing, I hope you guys agree! I'm constantly trying to improve myself and my art so I hope it's paying off. Now I'm not sure how many of you guys actually read books, I certainly don't do enough of it, but a while back I finished off one of the greatest series of stories I've ever read in my life, hands down. Goes by the name of The Dark Tower, written by Stephen King. Now I'm not here to talk about The Dark Tower exactly, but instead about something I found out concerning it being made into a series of graphic novels!! Lets just say it's a good thing I had a clean pair of extra pants lying around when I found out. It's not exactly new news, but it's pretty recent for me and not everyone knows about it I'm sure. Here's a link with an interview with one of the artists for it, Jae Lee. It features a pencil sketch by Mr. Lee as well as the four pages they showed to Stephen King when the deal was first being made. You know at first I was a little skeptical about it being published by Marvel, but after seeing the incredible talent of Jae Lee and Richard Isanove my fears have been put to rest. Anyway, my apologies if you've never heard of The Dark Tower and are scratching your head wondering what I'm blabbing about, but if that's the case, I suggest you run (don't walk) out to your local bookstore and grab a copy of the first book in The Dark Tower series; The Gunslinger. It WILL be worth your time. Guarenteed. Well that's about it, new vote incentive and all that, so please vote vote vote!! Also: Here's the official site with a news story about the whole thing. Update: I quickly whipped up an alternate version of this weeks page. Basically the only difference is that it has a black background as opposed to a white one. I think it might be easier on the eyes, and possibly just better overall. I'm thinking of changing all the previous pages and all future ones to a black background. Give me your thoughts on which one you like better!
