Arri Fiser (Arri Fize-er) - Arri has lived the past 12 years of his life confused and lost. The majority of this time has been spent alone with no family or friends, save for one friend he had for a short time 6 years ago. He now spends his days working as a Scavenger, searching for technology and relics of the past on Old Earth. Hoping to sever all ties with what little he has now and start a new life, Arri is seeking passage on The Successor, the very first colony ship bound for the nearly terraformed planet of Mars. |

Darrien Arstrada - According to the Nation of Earth's official records Darrien died nearly 6 years ago in a transit accident between the Nation and Colony 2. Emerick, Ches, Will and Jared are all connected to Darrien. According to Jared, Darrien spent two years with Arri before he suddenly "died". |

Yuara (Yoo-Ar-Ah) - Little is known about this character so far. She seems to have some connection with another character as of yet unknown. |

Unknown - Nothing is known about this character yet. But he seems to have a connection of some kind with Yuara. |

Chester Armahn - Ches is a very special young man. His parents died when he was five years old. A few years afterward at the age of eight, he met Will and Diana. They offered him a place to stay and food to eat. Eventually he came to trust and love them. He witnessed Will's death at Terra Letum. He seems to know who Darrien Arstrada is. |

Emerick Whitterman - A leader to Jared, Ches, and Will as well as the rest of their people. He, like Darrien, is a man of many secrets. He is nearly, but not fully, blind in both eyes. |
![]() |
Jared Paldun (Jared Pal-doon) - Jared can be a very difficult and stubborn man. He holds a great deal of anger and resentment for Darrien Arstrada. It seems it was Darrien who gave him the painful scar that crosses his face. |
![]() |
William Donaldson [deceased] - This man was murdered while attempting to kill Arri for what he believed was the greater good. Chester Armahn saw him die. He seemed to know who Darrien Arstrada was. |

Diana Donaldson - Diana was Will's wife of fifteen years before he died. She has been like a mother to Chester for most of his life. Though she is known to be a very caring and open woman, she also has a very cold, maticulous and calculated nature about her. |

Baron "Barry" Samsen - Known for his perpetually nervous stutter and meek nature, Baron is often the one people dump extra work on and blame for various problems. This has led Baron to develop a spiteful and angered personality in private. |

Roy Caspienna (Roy Kass-Pee-Enna) - The eternally down-on-his-luck businessman. Many attribute the fact that he only barely scrapes by when he has such a knack for the business world, to just how big of a heart the man has. He's seen many a deal slip through his fingers because he thought it may hurt someone who didn't deserve it. He has also seen many of his employees move on to other employers because they could offer money that he could not. He and Arri have been long time friends beyond the employee-employer relationship. |

Alabaster - Arri's ship, an old vessel that Roy Caspienna bought used and then gave to Arri to use for Scavenging expeditions. Arri decided to leave the apartment he had in Beyaal Division on the Nation of Earth to live on the ship instead. Bastian - The small donut-shaped vehicle Arri uses to get around during Scavenging missions on Old Earth. Nation of Earth (NOE) - After the end of Old Earth, the last remaining populous of humanity fled to the surface of the nearest celestial body, the moon. This is where the vagrants of a now dead planet found their new home and formed the Nation of Earth. Terra Letum - [Latin Translation: Earth Death] The point of impact for the three comets which struck the Earth over 120 years ago. It was originally the capital city of Earth, Hong Kong. The crater left upon the Earth spans approximately 4,620 KM. Pax Pacis - [Latin Translation: Peace, or Treaty] This part of Old Earth used to be the approximate location of the United Nations Headquarters. For those who use of it, it has remained a place in which peace is sought between a divided humanity. Old Earth - A now lifeless planet, it's atmosphere cluttered with perpetual storms and clouds blotting out the Sun. The ruins of what once was are scattered about this world. Technology and fossilized minerals remain for Scavengers to pick through and bring back to the Nation of Earth. Scavengers - The Scavengers serve as collectors of the old, they hunt for technology, resources, and information on Old Earth. This profession came about approximately 70 years ago, not long after the survivors of the impact had begun to settle on the moon. Since theirs was a hurried escape, there was much left behind on the Earth. And so came about the need for Scavengers, to "dig up the past, so the future may see light". This is their creed. Colonies 1, 2, 3 and 4 - After the impact on Old Earth, an innumerable amount of debris from the planet was sent into space from the impact, and begun to orbit the planet. Several pieces of the debris were very large and capable of being mined for minerals and resources. They were soon populated by small groups and small colonies began to form around the money obtained by mining. Arri's birth records show he was born of Samuel and Caitlin Fiser, transporters between Colony 4 and the Nation. The Council of Twelve (The Twelve, The Council) - The Twelve control all aspects of government for the Nation of Earth. They are also revered as being nearly Gods themselves. The Doctrine of the Twelve speaks of their heroism in saving humanity from near disaster more than 120 years ago. They are also known to be the only people still alive who lived on Old Earth before the end. No one truly knows how the Twelve can still be alive, but rumours suggest everything from them being actual Gods, to the more likely suggestion of them having undergone rather extreme life extending procedures. Whatever the truth is, the majority of the Nation trusts and respects the Twelve as deserving rulers leading humanity's future. Oeyingen (Oh-Ee-Ying-Gen) - Very little is known about the Oeyingen other than they serve as secret police under the direct control of the Twelve. Some rumours regarding the Oeyingen suggest they may be complex androids, or maybe cyborgs (humans and machines combined) that are nearly as old as the Twelve themselves. On the rare occasion that the Oeyingen have been needed in the mostly peaceful Nation of Earth, all those who saw the conflicts say that the Oeyingen moved with frightening speed and seemed completely unphased by all weapon fire. In truth, the public talk and rumour about these secret police nearly as much as they do about the Twelve. Three Comets - On March 12th, 2054, a string of three comets descended upon the Earth and brought about a New Era for humanity. Room 3 of Jezeh Jaquina - Inside one of twelve hospitals within the Nation of Earth. It is here where Arri's first coherant memories begin at the age of ten. "Jezeh" - Translates as "Saint". Female version. "Judun" - Translates as "Saint". Male version. The Successor - After over one hundred years of struggling to regain what they had lost, humanity has decided it is ready to start again on a new planet. This planet is Mars. Before the end of Old Earth there was a project set in motion to Terraform the surface of Mars to make it habitable for human life. This project has been in process by automated Terraforming machines on the surface of Mars for over a hundred years now and the Terraforming is nearly complete. The Successor is a colony ship that the Nation has built to transport those who wish to start a new life to Mars so that they may do so. There is much hope attached to this ship, for it represents humanity's renewal and a chance to truly live again as their ancestors did. Break Code Twelve: Deshai - This is the code Arri was given by Roy that gave him permission to enter the restricted region of Terra Letum. The Necklace - A small, oddly shaped necklace Arri found underground at Terra Letum. It is connected to the strange man that saved Arri at Terra Letum. Vael'uina - This was first mentioned by Yuara when speaking to Arri. It is unknown exactly what this is yet. Sen'Alall - "Sen'Alall. Perpetual sadness. They yearn for darkness. And they will have it." -Emerick Whitterman while discussing Chester's vision with Jared. The Rebirth - It is unclear as to who, or what this refers to. But it is likely that Arri is at the heart of it. Deshai - Though first mentioned in Chapter 1 as part of Arri's Break Code to enter Terra Letum, it has since been spoken in part of the dream Arri had in the beginning of Chapter 2. It was spoken by a man surrounded by a group of people on top of a newly cracked and smoking tower. This man held a younger man wrapped in a blanket, and referred to him as "their Deshai". |
